Adult Rheumatology In-Training Exam

Administration of the Adult Rheumatology In-Training Examination will be offered on March 9 and 10, 2010, programs can test on either day or on both days. Registration opens Monday, November 16, 2009. Programs wishing to administer the In-Training Exam must register in order for fellows to take the exam by Friday, January 8, 2010. Programs must register for the exam online.

Update to Core Curriculum – March 2006

This Core Curriculum Outline Adobe Acrobat PDF icon (or Word version Microsoft Word icon ) is a substantial and comprehensive revision of the previous ACR Core Curriculum Outline for Program Directors that is designed to reflect the importance of competency-based training and assessment in graduate medical education, as defined by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and to emphasize the six general competencies.

These are:

Medical Knowledge
Patient Care
Practice-based Learning and Improvement Systems-based Practice
Interpersonal and Communications Skills Professionalism

The revised curriculum outline is organized by these competencies.

Suggested core curriculum outline - consistent with the requirements of the Residency Review Committee for training in rheumatology and serves as a guide for training program directors and fellows in meeting the requirements of the Residency Review Committee.

Principles Governing Industry Support for Rheumatology Fellowship Training

It was approved by the Committee on Training and Workforce Issues and the ACR board of directors in summer 2005, and was disseminated to program directors at that time.

To make sure your fellows are on the e-mail list to receive periodic updates from the ACR about trainee activities and offerings, please have them e-mail their contact information to , director, Research and Training. They should include their name, address, phone, fax, e-mail, program name/type (adult or pediatric) and year of fellowship.
